Recreation
Brevard is home to every sport imaginable, seek and you shall find. Whether

of beaches and its local waterways, water activities are a major attraction.
From exploring Canaveral National Seashore in the north to Sebastian Inlet
State Park in the south, the parks and recreations department has numerous

With 22 (and counting) beautifully managed golf courses you are sure to find
at least one to your liking. The year-round great weather also makes tennis
a perfect pastime. The Space Coast Tennis League (SCTL) has several teams in
each of their eight different levels offering players in all levels the opportunity
to join in the fun.
Port Canaveral's thriving cruise ship business along with the Kennedy Space
Center provide wonderful recreational opportunities and the Maxwell C. King
Center for the performing Arts provides a wide variety of musical and theatrical
activities on a year round basis. In addition, the Brevard Zoo tickles the
delight of young and old. The County's extensive Library System fulfills its
goal of enriching your life by maintaining 18 convenient locations in the county,
all offering excellent programs on wide variety of topics.
